Purchasing Assistant (12-Month Fixed Term – Maternity Cover)
Atlas, Sheffield
Full-time (flexibility may be available)
If you like the idea of joining a team where what you do genuinely keeps things moving, this could suit you well.
Eclipse Magnetics are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our Operations team on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. It’s a role that sits right at the heart of ensuring production runs smoothly, suppliers deliver when they say they will, and stock levels stay exactly where they need to be.
You’ll report to the Product & Procurement Manager and work closely with colleagues across Operations. A big part of your day will involve running planning reports, raising purchase orders, keeping delivery dates accurate and chasing anything that’s running late. You’ll build solid relationships with suppliers, make sure pricing and data within SAP stays clean and current, and help identify opportunities to reduce costs where it’s realistic to do so.
This is a role for someone who’s organised, inquisitive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. You’ll need to understand how supply chains work, have experience with MRP systems, and be confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams. If you’ve worked in engineering or manufacturing, you’ll feel at home here.
There’s also a forward-looking element to the job. You’ll support our ongoing work towards Net Zero, help reduce single use plastics, and look for ways to streamline processes. Accuracy and attention to detail matter but so does having the initiative to spot inefficiencies and improve them.
You’ll be using SAP, Excel and other systems daily, so strong administrative skills are important. Flexibility around tasks and workload is key as the team supports each other when things get busy.
If you want to spend the next year in a role where your work has a direct impact on production, performance and sustainability, we’d love to hear from you.

Commercial & Compliance Lead
Commercial & Compliance Lead
Sheffield (Atlas Site)
Full-time / Permanent
Are you someone who sees contracts, compliance, and governance as tools for confident decision-making rather than barriers to progress?
Eclipse Magnetics and Bowers Metrology are looking for a Commercial & Compliance Lead to join their MMG Commercial Team. Reporting to the MMG Commercial Director, you’ll sit at the centre of how the business manages commercial risk, protects value, and operates with confidence.
As Commercial & Compliance Lead you will lead the review, drafting, and management of commercial agreements, including contracts and NDAs, overseeing the full contract lifecycle from negotiation through to execution, renewal, and variation. You’ll apply strong commercial judgement to identify non-standard terms and emerging risks, knowing when to challenge, when to escalate, and how to balance protection with pragmatism.
Beyond contracts, this role carries responsibility for commercial compliance and governance. You’ll own governance processes, maintain approval and audit-ready records, and ensure alignment with internal frameworks and external regulatory requirements. Working closely with external legal advisers, you’ll provide commercially informed input and translate legal guidance into outcomes that work in practice.
You’ll also lead the administration and renewal of key business accreditations and play an important role in sustainability and regulatory reporting, including Net Zero and CBAM. Your work here will directly support the organisation’s long-term obligations and reputation. Intellectual property matters too, and you’ll oversee the maintenance and protection of trademarks, patents, and wider IP records, escalating issues and coordinating actions where required.
This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and external partners, acting as a trusted point of reference for commercial and compliance matters. You’ll handle sensitive information with discretion and bring calm, structured thinking to situations where accuracy and judgement matter most.
We’re looking for someone with experience in commercial agreements, compliance, governance, or contract management, who is naturally organised, detail-focused, and comfortable taking ownership. You’ll be confident advising stakeholders, influencing outcomes, and maintaining high standards across the business.
If you’re looking for a role where your expertise shapes how a business operates, protects itself, and grows responsibly, the Commercial & Compliance Lead offers real scope, responsibility, and impact.
